Save trucks to your account and compare rates, minimum hire periods and what is included before you speak to anyone.

Enquire direct with the depot
Send one enquiry with your dates and requirements. It lands in the supplier's dashboard immediately — we never add a booking fee.

Pick up or mobilise to site
The supplier handles licence checks, insurance and the handover, and can quote float delivery to site. Dry hire means you supply the operator and fuel.

- What does dry hire mean?
- Dry hire means renting the truck or vehicle without an operator. You supply the operator and fuel; the supplier supplies a registered, insured and maintained machine.
- What licence do I need?
- Utes and 4.5t GVM trucks can usually be driven on a car licence. Above that you generally need LR, MR or HR for rigids, and HC or MC for combinations. Each listing states the class required.
- Do you list mine-spec vehicles?
- Yes. Suppliers can flag vehicles prepared to typical site access requirements — beacons, whip flags, reflective chevrons, isolation switches and fire equipment. Confirm the exact site standard with the depot before you mobilise.
- Does it cost anything to enquire?
- No. Dry Hire Trucks is free for hirers. Enquiries go straight to the depot and you agree terms with them directly.
- How are suppliers vetted?
- Every depot is reviewed by our team before it appears in the directory, and each listing is checked again whenever the supplier edits it.
